When Average is Not Really Average

Walk into your local golf shop and you will find a wide assortment of apparel from the world's top golf apparel manufacturers - Nike, Adidas, Under Amour, Travis Matthew, Oakley, and the list goes on and on. The offerings are predominantly shirts with a smattering of pants here and there. The shirts range from S to 2X and the pants from 30x30 to 38x34. If you consider yourself of "average" size, you probably don't see anything wrong with the previous sentence. However, if you are anywhere near the true "average" size of a U.S. male, you have probably searched for proper fitting golf pants like Harrison Ford searching for the Lost Ark.

According to the CDC, the average waist size in America is 39.7. And yet, the largest size found at most golf retailers is 38. These are things that make us go "Hmmmm?" There is actually a very good reason for this - Golf manufacturers are businesses and the focus of most businesses is making money. These companies know that the fasting growing golf market in the world is China. And, they realize that they will not sell a lot of 38s and 40s there.

So where does that leave those of us searching for that perfect pair of golf pants that fit our average waist sizes? Welcome to LOSLIFE. Our pants range from waist size 32 to 44 to adequately serve the average golfer with stylish, comforting and performing golf pants.
